Fact Information
This rodent lives in the desert and does not need to drink at all because its body is so efficient at recycling moisture. The Fennec Fox is also accomplished at going without water. It will drink if water is available, but suffers no ill-effects if water is not available. A camel can go as long as 50 days without water, if environmental conditions are right, but the Kangaroo Rat and the Fennec Fox beat the camel.

The humps store water, but it's limited. Camels ARE useful, but it can't live longer than the Kangaroo Rat and the Fennec Fox without water.
