Native Americans accepted payment in the form of paper money because they were often times intoxicated when making deals with the white settlers. It's people who don't know history that scare me the most.

Personally, I think the U.S. is a great country (at least when you look away from its defects), but I don't appreciate how most Americans act as if this land was discovered by Europeans first and that they're English ancestors never wiped out more than 4,000 different Native American cultures in the process of taking over the land. And then on top of that [some] Americans go around saying that foreign people are here to invade the country...
