Karate was created in Japan due to the Government putting a ban on weapons, so the peasants developed a way to defend themselves without the use of weapons.

no people, i am not an indian but im telling you. not only karate, all the martial arts of same form of karate originated from INDIA even before civilisation was known to the world. then it was spread to other countries like china and japan by the indians..sort of representatives. but india stopped practising it aftr some time. thats why they kinda lost their heritage..but their history is still there (not known by indians themselves). eg: it was a south indian who developed the Shaolin in China.

Actually Indians are good in spreading fake knowledge ,they also claim that Buddha was born in India but it is totally wrong because he was born in Nepal.
