This isn't true...just so you know. Titanic continued to use the CQD distress call.

This fact is correct, it was the first ship to use the SOS distress signal, they had switched from CQD to SOS after efforts to reach a ship in time became difficult, as the international distress call had only JUST been changed from CQD to SOS.

This is incorrect. First Titanic sent CQD old "in danger" code and then later started transmitting SOS (and it DOES NOT mean Save our Souls or anything, it was used cause it was easy to type in Morse code) and there are numerous reports of SOS being used by ships before Titanic.

So much for the unsinkable.
