I believe this is true. I think if they do dream in the womb it would be about colours and sounds and sensations. Dreams are based of things you have heard, seen or felt and since babies in utero haven't experienced much esle it seems logical that that's what they'd dream about. I have a 9 year old son and a 9 1/2 month old daughter and i can tell you now, Babies dream right away. Anyone with kids would be able to tell you all that.
