IT's true that all amercians only learn about their own country. I mean i once had an entire group of people convinced that the second the walked over the Canadian border everything was ice and snow.. yankees are chumps.

Seriously? We are one of the most technologicly advanced countries and yet here we have people making fun of us? If we're such "idiots" I wonder how America has the longest standing constitution? And thank-you we do get *taught about other countries history. Starting in about fourth grade if I remeber right. If we didn't get *taught about other countries it would, in fact, be impossible to learn about our own history. Especoally since we, by most standards, are a very young country.

At first I thought this site was useful. Then, more and more, I see stuff like this...ridiculous 'trivia' that is really thinly disguised as hateful, unsubstantiated, biased and totally false propaganda. I guess that either there is no moderator or they are indifferent and allow anyone to post anything they want, true or not. That's a shame, because these days, children are more likely to believe some quick quip on a website than to actually do the legwork to find the truth, and we all become a little dumber because of it.

Not saying that is the reason 12% didn't know but when I went to high school in the USA for a year I noticed that you only learnt about your own country and don't really have any knowledge on any others
