If any one does read my comment i just want to say that rephrasing is not changing the bible. The the old testament ( which is all the chapters before the birth of Jesus Christ) was written in Hebrew. The new testament ( which is about Jesus and his love and forgiveness for everyone even people who steel bibles) was written in Greek. Not every one obviously cant read or speak those languages so today the bible is translated into many different languages so people can read and understand it.

If you have never read the entire Bible and studied it and lived as good a Christian life as possible you can not comment on the Bible's content or Christian values. To the person who said "religion is organised crime" I would love to hear you explain that and show some real proof....Organized crime or criminal organizations is a transnational grouping of highly centralized enterprises run by criminals for the purpose of engaging in illegal activity, most commonly for monetary profit. Christianity is not an illegal activity.....and for many years it was the foundation for many societies before the world started to become secular. Look at some of the most common laws in countries like the US, UK and Australia they are based on Biblical teachings. There are some organisations that exploit religion for money but not just Christianity many religions.....go into various shops and you'll see many religious items for sale sometimes at high prices. But most Christians believe you should choose to give money for God's work and not be forced. Imagine Christian organisations eg. The Salvation Army, if they were not supported finacially somehow they wouldn't be able to go to poor countries or see to the hardships in this world then there would be far worse off than there are now. Before you judge do your research with an open mind and try to consider what you see. When a man loses his home even if he has never been to church and never believed in God The Salvation Army can be his refuge so if Christians can help the non-believers of this world and not judge then why should they judge Christians.

apparently you don't. I'm surprised they didn't teach you this in school. It was said that back in the old days, back when people couldn't read, the priests were the only ones with the ability to read as they were the "chosen ones" from God himself to teach everyone the word of God. Most of these so called "chosen ones" would use that false power to take money from the already poor. Paying taxes to the Church, also paying priest to pray to God to forgive their sins when in all honesty, they could have done it themselves. But as time past and people learned how to read the Bibles themselves they learn you don't need to pay for forgiveness. Of course in most churches today it is okay to make donations to keep the churches running and to keep the priest or preacher with an income because that is what his chosen profession is, to teach the Bible. And some do it better than others, some teach their interpretation of the Bible, which imo is wrong and others actually TEACH the real meaning of the Bible. Therefore, God does not need the money.
and saying the Bible is fiction is your opinion, it is a terrible thing to state it as fact. What if I said the Bible is real. Yes, in my mind and minds of many others I am stating a fact but to you that would become an insult and a false accusation. So don't be rude and try to change everybody's opinion on a such strong topic.

Wow. I think it's awesome that people have something to believe in, but come on, religion is basically mankinds way of dealing with life in general and afterlife. Religion gives them hope in present day and hope in some utopian afterlife. I'm not religious but I think it can be a good thing to keep you out of trouble? Lol but I think it's silly to let it limit how you live your life.. And it's destigusting when they mix religion and government.. Not everyone wants to limit their lives to someone elses religious beliefs.

I just want to say that being a christian is not a religion, it is a relationship with christ. We do not believe we are better than others just because of what religion we believe in. If I knew I was going to hell I would still have that relationship. I mean heck we don't know where we are going. Nor will we until the day of judgement. I don't know what I would do if I din't have that rock hard foundation to wake up to every morning and trust in. This is coming from a missionary in traing. Africa here I come!
