Wait...how can light weigh anything? It's energy, not matter... Energy can't be created or destroyed. If this 'fact' were true, then you'd be creating matter every time you turned on your light, and then destroying it when you turned your light off.
Please correct me if you can prove in a believable way that this is true, but until that happens then I deem this 'fact' FALSE.

light is made of photons, which are bosons. Bosons aren't required to have mass, Also, light moves at the speed of light, and nothing moving at the speed of light can have mass. Therefore, photons have no mass. (bosons are the only particles that can move at the speed of light)

However, energy and mass are equivalent, and one can convert from one to another, mathematically, at least.

But one more important thing before I explain why the author sucks at life. Mass is not weight, weight is a force measurement, and pounds is also a force measurement. Mass is a property of matter, which is measured in grams, but mass is not weight. Pounds are weight/force.

The uninformed author of this fact knows enough to be dangerous, but not enough to be safe. One can convert mathematically from energy to mass to weight, but one could also convert from blood cells to people to high-speed electric train commuters, but that doesn't mean that high-speed electric trains are made out of blood cells.

Wrong in so many ways. Even numerically. If you make reasonable assumptions about the solar energy reaching the earth, its mass-equivalent is about 2000kilos (2 tons).

no this CAN be true because as mad man said before "weight" is the measurement of force and light does interact with gravity,( proving the theory of relativity) therefore if light light can bu pulled on by gravity this pull can be measured.(on how is beyond me) so, then IF this is true mars would recieve about 3 pounds, while jupitar recieves like 100.
