Fact Information
Sound waves need some medium to propagate through, and in space there isn't much there. It isn't a complete vacuum, but there needs to be a certain density of molecules to vibrate in order to produce and transmit sound and the density isn't high enough in space.

and its not coz theres no gravity, in fact there is gravity, its just low. and sound travels through air no because of gravity. there's no air in space, because it is a vacuum

Sound travels as vibrations through the air. When you speak your voice makes the surrounding air vibrate and this is picked up by small hairs within your ears that send signals to your brain. In space there is no atmosphere and therefore no way for sound vibrations to reach your or someone elses ears.
