This is a Christian superstition, why people believe it to be bad luck is not because of the ladder itself, but from the triangle in which it creates. This represents the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit... or in other words God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit). People believe that walking through it is disrespectful and therefore God will teach you a lesson with bad luck..

@Morgan@work - i'm not so sure about that...I mean, I'm Christian, and I get the Trinity, but we aren't really supersticious as far as "good luck" "bad luck"...everything is part of life's plan...I dunno, maybe that is where it came from...but I am pretty sure it's not true..
