Actually they aren't evil spirits they are road gremlins, and even tough bikers believe this. It's really funny but they do take it very seriously, So it's best not to poke fun at them over it.

Yes, I myself am a biker and i believe that if you don't have a small biker's bell somewhere on your motorcycle the evil road gremlins will cause you to crash, although having one does not ensure that you will not crash.

I also ride..... When I bought my bike form a friend of mine, it already had a bell on it. And to this day it's still there. I'm not saying it works, but I haven't went down!
