Regardless of the actual amount, the conversion here from liters to quarts is incorrect - 400 liters would be around 423 quarts (not 800 quarts)...

- The adult heart pumps about 5 quarts of blood each minute - approximately 2.000 gallons (9120 liters) of blood each day.
So in total, the heart pumps about 1 million barrels of blood during an average lifetime - that's enough to fill more than 3 super tankers.
- In a 70-year lifetime, the average human heart beats more than 2.5 billion times.

Rene I like ur post. The average heart pumps 2.4 oz per heartbeat with an average of 72 BPM and a life span of 70 years = 48 million gallons / 184,086,000 liters. I get very upset when I read this triva to learn and its wrong!!!
