It depends on the Earths distance from the sun, which is not a constant. The earth is orbiting the sun in an eclipse form. I believe there's a a few million km difference between aphelion and perihelion.

Actually this is not true. sunlight takes a long time to reach the earth. if u are talking about the time it leaves and hits earth u may be right. but how old it is when it hit earth can be up to millions of years.
