There is more than one IQ scale. The two most common put the genius cut-off at 140 and 160 respectively. Not many of us are geniuses.

The average IQ scale differs for each country. The last time I remember, I read an article noting that U.S.A has an average IQ of 97 (pretty low).
BTW just because your IQ is over 140 doesn't mean you are a genius.
The beginning of the genius IQ is just a stat which was merely assumed by people.

None of you are a genius. 98% of you took online 'IQ tests' and I bet all of them said you were a genius, but, for further extensive testing you needed to pay a fee for a test, or some online test. It's a marketing scheme, and chances are that none of you are really a genius.

I have a slight feeling most of you claiming to have an IQ of over 140 have only taken simple tests on the internet. This is a fun way to estimate your IQ, but it is usually far from being correct. Depends on what kind of tests you take. Taking a real IQ test with a psychologist, means taking tests for social-IQ and such. On the internet its vaguely based on your ability to perform logical tests, which doesn't necessary make you a genious.

I took a real IQ test at my school because they wanted to find out if i was "gifted" or a genius. i scored at a 150 as a 5th grader. I have yet to take a test after that but i am still in a "gifted" class so i guess it hasn't dropped. the highest IQ recorded was around 275 and it was a woman.
