This is simply not true... I knew this since i was in 1st grade when we started learning about the solar system. and for those who think americans are stupid, you all can go die in a ditch. almost all my friends are takeing advanced classes such as calculus, advanced bio, astronomy, etc. at a freshman age in highschool. Americans are very smart, and people criticize us in every way possible. i find it very annoying and offensive. if you american haters are so smart, than what is this very simple algebra formula that i learned in 5th grade? y=mx b. or what is a star that can pulse every 1.4 seconds? us americans may have dumb people on this continent, but that only makes up like 15% of them. and thats the people that decide to drop out of school and not get a good education. me and the majority of my friends are going for a doctor's dagree. Also, i am to believe that all of you are actually jealous of america. we have a good economy, we help other countries in need, we have thousands of people flying to american from other countries. we are simply a great country, and no one or anything can make me think otherwise.

This fact can not be true. I learned this when I was in kindergarten. I think who ever posted this fact was trying to start an argument.

I suggest that before you start commenting on how americans are stupid, you learn how to type properly and use full words. And no duh, the sun is a star. Wake up, people, this isn't the 1500's anymore.

People get confused. Even if 45% or American's are severly lacking in brain cells, it doesn't that some of the smartest people aren't American. But then my aunt who has just moved to England told me that out of a group of 65 parents to 28 10-year-old kids in the school her niece was sent to, only 37 knew that the Amazon was in South America. The other 28 said Africa. And only 10 of the 65 knew that it was the second longest river in the world, not the first.
That's not saying other parents aren't as dumb, but those ones were.

Of course we know the sun is a star. There are a lot of uneducated people all over the world.. Not everybody has wonderful parents to raise them and pay for a proper education! And as to where the amazon is or how big it is just isnt something you concern yourself with when you work and try to make life run smoothly for you and your loved ones.
