Probally with a knife or with a hatchet lmao. They didn't have the cans where you pull the top and it pops off, nah you had to freaking spend the whole day figuring out how to open a can with nothing on top or bottom.

the cans in those years didnt NEED a can opener, the cans were made with a thin metal which could be cut open with a knife....but those cans were weak....then they invented a stronger can which wouldn't break when it fell down and needed a can opener.....sadly this can was invented 21 years BEFORE the can opener....so u can say 21 yrs of frustration and thinking lol .....just a made up story.....
